Tasty Marie Biscuit Cake

Here is an exceptional cake that I simply know your guests will enjoy. If you have one of the Cuisinart SM-55 5-1/2-Quart Stand Mixers You will make it quickly and easily. You can decorate the cake as you wish but butter cream, made with one of the Cuisinart SM-55 5-1/2-Quart Stand Mixers as well is very tasty. My favorite, though is strawberry jam, whipped cream and nuts!

Here is our recipe:

Ingredients:

  • ½ lb. Butter
  • ½ lb. Marie biscuits
  • 1 Cup chopped almonds
  • ¼ Cup milk
  • 6 Eggs
  • ¾ Lb. yellow sugar
  • 1 Teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1 Dessertspoon cocoa
  • 1 Teaspoon baking powder

Method:

  • Preheat the oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit
  • Prepare three cake tins
  • Cream the butter and sugar in your mixer
  • Add the egg yolks one at a time
  • Add the almonds
  • Beat the egg whites until stiff
  • Fold the egg whites into the butter mixture
  • Fold in the finely crumbled Marie biscuits
  • Sift the cocoa, baking powder and cinnamon
  • Fold this mixture into the butter mixture alternating with the milk
  • Pour the mixture into your cake tins
  • Bake for 30 minutes until done

You can clearly see that without one of the Cuisinart SM-55 5-1/2-Quart Stand Mixers making this cake will be a major operation. With one of the Cuisinart SM-55 5-1/2-Quart Stand Mixers it becomes very easy.
