Here is our recipe:
Ingredients:
- ½ lb. Butter
- ½ lb. Marie biscuits
- 1 Cup chopped almonds
- ¼ Cup milk
- 6 Eggs
- ¾ Lb. yellow sugar
- 1 Teaspoon cinnamon
- 1 Dessertspoon cocoa
- 1 Teaspoon baking powder
Method:
- Preheat the oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit
- Prepare three cake tins
- Cream the butter and sugar in your mixer
- Add the egg yolks one at a time
- Add the almonds
- Beat the egg whites until stiff
- Fold the egg whites into the butter mixture
- Fold in the finely crumbled Marie biscuits
- Sift the cocoa, baking powder and cinnamon
- Fold this mixture into the butter mixture alternating with the milk
- Pour the mixture into your cake tins
- Bake for 30 minutes until done
