Fresh Homemade Sherbet For That Special Dinner

In summer, Ice cream is the ultimate dessert to serve at any occasion. This sherbet is very tasty with the whipping cream and chocolate syrup. With an ice cream maker such as the Cuisinart ICE-50BC Supreme Ice Cream Maker you will have no problems with this recipe.

So, here is your recipe for Silky Pink Raspberry Sherbet:

What You Need:
  • 2 C of boiling water
  • 1 (6 oz.) pkg. raspberry gelatin
  • 1/2 C of cold water
  • 1/2 C of chocolate syrup
  • 3/4 C of whipping cream
How to Make It:

  1. Pour the boiling water into a large bowl.
  2. Whisk in the gelatin until completely dissolved.
  3. Add the cold water, syrup and whipping cream, whisking until blended in well.
  4. Cover and chill for 1 hour or until cooled but not set up.
  5. When the mixture has cooled pour it into the cylinder of the ice cream maker.
  6. Freeze according to the manufacturer's directions for you ice cream maker.
  7. Allow to ripen 2 hours.
Makes 8 servings

This tasty sherbet can be made with any type of fruit flavored gelatin. Chopped pieces of fruit may also be added to this sherbet. Fold in the fruit before you ripen.

Tasty And Fast Vegetable Enhanced Steamed Rice Recipe For Your Pressure Cooker

Vegetable Enhanced Steamed Rice Recipe

What You Need:
  • 1 C long grain brown rice
  • 1 C of chicken broth
  • 2 C of water, divided
  • 1/4 C green onions, chopped
  • 1/4 C red bell pepper, diced
  • 1/4 C French style green beans
  • 1/2 C frozen corn
How to Make It:
  1. Place the rice into an ovenproof casserole dish.
  2. Pour the chicken broth and 1/2 C of water over the rice.
  3. Pour the remaining water into the cooker and place the trivet into the water.
  4. Place the casserole dish onto the trivet.
  5. Bring the pressure to high and cook 30 minutes.
  6. Allow the pressure to fall on its own.
  7. After the pressure has fallen add the bell pepper, green beans and corn to the casserole.
  8. Replace the lid on the cooker but do not lock.
  9. Allow the rice and vegetables to steam for 20 minutes or until the rice is tender.
Short grain rice can be used but it will take a little longer to cook. Add an additional 7 minutes to the cooking time if using short grain rice. When cooking rice always allow the pressure to fall on its own. This will ensure the rice has plenty of time to soften without overcooking.
